Patterns Don't Announce Themselves

Leadership patterns don't always announce themselves. They show up in the decisions you make, the space you occupy, how you respond when challenged, how you engage others, and what happens when the pressure increases. The Internal Leadership Drivers Profile (ILDP) helps you see those patterns. ILDP is a personalized leadership assessment designed to reveal the internal patterns influencing how you lead—and identify what may deserve your attention first.

When You're Missing Something About Your Leadership

Most leadership assessments give you scores. You read the numbers, read the descriptions, recognize a few things, and then you're left asking: “So what does this actually mean for me?” ILDP takes a different approach. It doesn't simply ask whether a score is high or low. It looks at the relationship between your responses to identify patterns. One isolated score may not tell you much. But when the same pattern appears repeatedly across different leadership conditions, it can tell you something more useful: where your leadership is most consistent, where inconsistencies may be appearing, and where your attention may have the greatest impact.

You Know How You Want to Lead Better Than Anyone. But You Can't Always See the Pattern.

Most leaders have a pretty good sense of how they lead. But knowing your intentions isn't the same as seeing your patterns. Some patterns are so familiar that they become invisible to us.  You may be highly capable, yet when challenged, others may experience you as over-explaining.  You may be decisive, yet others may experience your decisions as leaving little room for their perspectives.  You may invest deeply in relationships, yet others may experience you as less aware of the broader priorities shaping the organization.  You may see your involvement as rallying the team for an “all-hands-on-deck” push, while others may experience it as stepping in too far when they need space to execute. Each of these can shape how your leadership is experienced: your authority, your decisions, your influence, or your capacity to operate at the level your role requires.  That's what ILDP is designed to help you see: not simply what you do, but the patterns underneath it and how those patterns may be experienced by others.

Four Ways Your Leadership Is Experienced

ILDP looks at four leadership signals that shape how others may experience you in your role: Authority, Decision, Influence, and Capacity. The Authority Signal is about how you occupy leadership space and establish credibility. It shows up in how you take a position, use your judgment, and respond when your perspective is challenged. The Decision Signal is about how your judgment becomes visible. It shows up in how you make choices, create clarity, weigh information, and move things forward. The Influence Signal is about how you work through people and relationships. It shows up in how you build alignment, understand different perspectives, navigate stakeholders, and create movement without relying only on your formal authority. The Capacity Signal is about how you operate at the level your role requires. It shows up in how you handle increasing complexity, balance immediate demands with broader priorities, and create space for others to own the work rather than carrying everything yourself. These signals aren't separate parts of how you lead. They overlap, reinforce one another, and can create different experiences depending on the situation. ILDP looks at the patterns underneath these signals to help you understand where your leadership is showing up consistently and where inconsistencies may deserve your attention.

Your Leadership Pattern: Not Just Another Score

A score can tell you where you landed on one measure. A pattern can tell you more about how different parts of your leadership may connect. ILDP looks across your responses to see what repeats, where there may be inconsistencies, and how those patterns connect to the way your leadership may be experienced. You may see a pattern that appears in one area. You may see the same pattern showing up across different leadership conditions. Or you may find that there isn't a concentrated pattern at all. That's important. ILDP isn't designed to find a problem just because you completed an assessment. It is designed to let the evidence point to what may deserve your attention. The goal isn't to give you more to fix. It's to give you a clearer place to look.

How ILDP Reveals Your Pattern

ILDP examines six internal drivers across four key leadership conditions:  Think, Act, Interact, and React. These patterns translate directly into four visible signals:  Authority, Decision, Influence, and Capacity. By evaluating how these dimensions interact, ILDP looks beyond isolated scores to show where your pattern holds, where it shifts with context, and how different parts of your leadership connect. The result is a clear, structured picture of how you show up today—not a permanent personality label, but an actionable view of what your responses reveal.

The Internal Leadership Drivers Profile (ILDP)

Shows your pattern

Your personalized ILDP profile brings the assessment together into a clear picture of your current leadership pattern and gives you a clearer place to start.

Shows how consistent you are

You'll see where your Authority, Decision, Influence, and Capacity signals appear most or least consistently.

Shows what deserves your attention first

When the evidence points to a clear pattern, ILDP brings it into focus so you have a clear, high-leverage starting point. When the evidence doesn't point clearly in one direction, ILDP doesn't force an answer.  The goal isn't to find something wrong. It's to help you see what may deserve your attention.

Is ILDP For You?

ILDP is for leaders who are curious enough about their leadership to look beyond what they already know about themselves. It may be especially useful if you're stepping into greater responsibility, navigating a new leadership role, or finding that your experience doesn't always match the response you receive from others. It can also be useful if you're delivering results but want to understand what else may be shaping how your leadership is experienced. You don't need to be struggling to benefit from ILDP. Sometimes the most useful leadership question is simply: What am I not seeing yet?

What Your Report Shows You

- Your Leadership Signal    Where your leadership shows up most clearly; Authority, Decision, Influence, or Capacity. - Your Leadership Lens    The specific condition where that pattern becomes visible: how you think, act, interact, or react. - What Stands Out    Where the evidence points to one concentrated pattern, this shows you exactly where to focus first. - Your Ordering Pattern     What you naturally reach for, and where that may differ from what you consciously choose. - Where You're Strongest    What's already working, so this isn't an exercise in finding what's broken. It also shows where your leadership is consistently strong. - Your Move    A clear, high-leverage place to begin rather than an overwhelming list of everything you could improve.

Diagnostic Integrity

A strong score doesn't automatically mean everything is working. A lower score doesn't automatically mean something is wrong. ILDP looks at the pattern across your responses, not a single number in isolation. When the evidence points to a clear pattern, ILDP brings it into focus. When the evidence doesn't support certainty, it doesn't manufacture one. The assessment is designed to tell you what the evidence actually supports, not what it needs to find.

This Isn't a Personality Test

ILDP doesn't put you into a permanent type. It doesn't attempt to tell you everything about who you are, and it doesn't diagnose your leadership. It provides a structured view of your current leadership pattern based on your responses. The point isn't to label yourself. It's to see yourself more clearly so you can make a more intentional shift.

Built for Leaders Who Want to See More Clearly

Leadership begins with intent and is measured by the experience that lands in the room. You know how you want to lead. But leadership isn't only about what you intend to do. It's also about how your leadership is actually experienced by the people around you. Created by Oyinkan Akinmade, Leadership Strategist, ILDP looks at how leadership is experienced, revealing patterns in how you show up, make decisions, influence others, and navigate the demands of your role. Because what you're trying to communicate and what others experience aren't always the same.
